My Russian friend Z calls from London and my French/American friend Paul calls from Moscow in our first Skype podcast. Z finds something about his country to be proud of in the Russian spy scandal and I contemplate career options that are more legitimate than professor of literature, like being an actor paid to ride the subway in North Korea when foreign journalists visit.
