If I were a Springer-Verlag Graduate Text in Mathematics, I would be J.-P. Serre’s Linear Representations of Finite Groups. My creator is a Professor at the College de France. He has previously published a number of books, including Groupes Algebriques et Corps de Classes, Corps Locaux, and Cours d’Arithmetique (A Course in Arithmetic, published by Springer-Verlag as Vol. 7 in the Graduate Texts in Mathematics). Which Springer GTM would you be? The Springer GTM Test |
Who the hell am I?! Clearly, an Introduction to Knot Theory. Released from the prison of solipsism at last!

Posted by: shonk at February 15, 2004 11:52 PMHa! I know what combination of answers you used too, Clay.
Posted by: Curt at February 16, 2004 12:45 AMI don't imagine it was too hard to guess.

Posted by: shonk at February 16, 2004 02:01 AMWell, if Egypt is on your travel itinerary, I don't recommend it at the current moment.
Posted by: Curt at February 16, 2004 03:48 PMI'm not sure India is such a wise choice at the moment, either.
Posted by: shonk at February 16, 2004 05:11 PMBah, not worse than any other time. Granted, most Americans probably can't tell the difference among the brown-skinned peoples between the Muslims and the non-Muslims, but the creation of a virtual Silicon Valley II in Bangalore and Madras by American companies is, with no accompanying rhetoric, probably accomplishing a lot of what the government is so loudly proclaiming itself to be doing in Iraq--i.e. winning friends for the future.

Don't forget Mumbai.
